This week’s social media post of the week comes from Agit Kabayel. The German heavyweight star became a father yesterday, Tuesday.
Great joy in the Kabayel household: On July 1, Agit Kabayel became a father for the first time! The unbeaten heavyweight (26-0, 18 knockouts) and newly crowned WBC interim world champion crowned an already spectacular first half of 2025 – this time not in the ring, but in real life. Mother and child are doing well, and dad Agit is also beaming with happiness. Kabayel wrote on his social media post on Instagram: “HMDL for everything.” In this context, HMDL stands for “Hamdulillah”, which translates to “Thank God”.
While the Bochum native has always been incredibly focused and determined in training and in the ring over the past few months, this ambition now has a whole new motivation: his own family, now consisting of three members. The entire team, all the fans and the boxing world offer their heartfelt congratulations on this special moment. May little Kabayel grow up with as much heart, strength and character as the “Leberking” shows in the ring.
The birth of his first child marks the start of a completely new chapter for Kabayel – both in his personal and sporting life. In recent years, the 32-year-old has proven time and again that he can rise above himself at the crucial moment. Now he will not only be challenged as a boxer, but also as a father – a task that requires at least as much heart, discipline and dedication as the road to the top of the world. But anyone who knows Kabayel knows that he will master this challenge with strength and pride.
