The guy behind the hype
The heavyweight Gashi (34-4-0, 32 knockouts) was born in 1990 in Peja, Kosovo. His family, of Albanian descent, migrated to Germany during the Serbian-Kosovar war at the end of the 1990s. The now 35-year-old began boxing at the age of 17. Initially at the 1921 Neunkirchen boxing club in Saarland. During his amateur career, he won five Saarland and two Southwest German championships. Gashi made his professional debut in May 2014.
