IBF World Championship Vincenzo Gualtieri vs. Esquiva Falcão

It’s on! AGON Sports Vincenzo Gualtieri will box in his home town of Wuppertal against the silver medal winner of the London Olympic Games, Esquiva Falcão. It will be a spectacular fight for the vacant IBF middleweight world championship belt, the belt that Gennadiy Golovkin relinquished in February.

Gualtieri, unbeaten in 20 fights, will face the toughest opponent of his career because, like him, Falcao is unbeaten and also boxes in the awkward southpaw position.

Gualtieri is one of the rock stars among Germany’s boxers. The three-time Intercontinental Champion will relinquish his title for the World Championships.

The fight between Gualtieri and Falcao will be supported by an excellent supporting program, in which Thomas Piccirillo from Cologne will fight for the IBF International and AGON Sports Etinosa Oliha for the IBO Intercontinental Championship.

Like Gualtieri, Dariusz Lassotta (Bergkamen) and Nathanael Lukoki (Erftstadt) come from NRW and will compete in a six- and eight-round fight respectively. In addition, AGON’s former world champion Jack Culcay will take part in his last “stay-busy fight” before tackling the world title again.
