German heavyweight Nelvie Tiafack has signed a mega contract – with none other than boxing star and influencer Jake Paul. The US promotion Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) announced on Thursday that Tiafack is the first German boxer in the MVP squad. “Nelvie is an Olympic medalist with world-class potential,” the announcement reads. “His story is inspiring – and we believe he has everything it takes to become world champion.”

Tiafack was the first German to win Olympic bronze in the super heavyweight division in Paris in 2024. He has been a professional since then and won his debut in Heidelberg in July by T.K.O. Now comes the next step: on September 27, he will fight the unbeaten American Ramiro Robles (5-0) in Montreal (Canada) in the Most Valuable Prospects 15 event series, broadcast worldwide by DAZN.

Jake Paul, with over 45 million followers on social media, is one of the most influential names in the boxing business. His promotion attracts a lot of attention with its huge reach and clever marketing – also for new talent. Tiafack said: “I want to be the best in my weight class – MVP will get me there.”

His German manager Florian Winter has big plans for Tiafack. “Nelvie fits in perfectly with us and our philosophy of making German heavyweight boxing respectable again. We firmly believe that with Nelvie and our mega-talent Emanuel Odiase, we will succeed in bringing boxing in Germany back to where it once was in the days of Maske, the Klitschko brothers and Rocchigiani – at the top of the world.”
