Big chance for two hopefuls: Diego Pacheco and Hamzah Sheeraz are facing a possible world championship fight for the WBO belt.

After the retirement of Terence Crawford, there is movement in the super middleweight division. The World Boxing Organization has officially ordered Diego Pacheco and Hamzah Sheeraz to fight for the now vacant WBO world title.
Both camps have been asked to reach an agreement within 20 days. If no deal is reached, the fight will be scheduled for a purse bid – with a minimum bid of 300,000 dollars. Pacheco is promoted by Matchroom Boxing, Sheeraz is under contract with Queensberry.
The 24-year-old Pacheco is unbeaten (25-0, 18 knockouts), but has not been completely convincing of late despite his victories. Sheeraz (22-0-1, 18 knockouts), on the other hand, caused a stir in the summer when he stopped Edgar Berlanga early after moving up to super-middleweight.
Remarkable: Canelo Alvarez, currently number one in the WBO rankings, is not playing a role in the title race due to an operation and a planned break. This opens up a great opportunity for Pacheco and Sheeraz to fight for a world championship belt.
