Eddie Hearn and the sports streaming service extend their partnership by five years – DAZN shows more than 30 Matchroom boxing events from the UK and the USA every year.

More than 30 blockbuster fight nights from Matchroom Boxing will be shown exclusively on DAZN every year in future. This was agreed by Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn and the sports streaming service when they extended their contract for a further five years. Fans can look forward to the first boxing highlight of this deal on February 28. The super featherweight unification between IBF title holder and Hearn protégé Eduardo “Sugar” Nunez (29-1, 27 knockouts) and WBO champion Emanuel Navarrete (39-2-1, 32 knockouts) will take place in Glendale (USA). A showdown between two renowned Mexican knockout artists is to be expected.
Partnership between two heavyweights
“DAZN continues to expand its leadership position in global boxing with the new five-year deal with Matchroom Boxing in the United States and United Kingdom,” a press release states. The contract extends the long-term partnership between two heavyweights of boxing. However, the sports streaming service will not only provide live coverage of Matchroom Boxing fights, but will also produce original content throughout the year “giving fans insights into the stories, training camps and rivalries”.
Numerous top stars fight for promoter Eddie Hearn’s stable. These include exceptional boxers such as Anthony Joshua, Katie Taylor, Dmitry Bivol and Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez. The newly crowned world champions Dalton Smith, Lewis Crocker and Josh Kelly are also under contract with the successful British promoter, as are Jaron “Boots” Ennis, Conor Benn and Ben Whittaker. For the US market, Matchroom is particularly well positioned with top fighters such as “Sugar” Nunez and Diego Pacheco. The female elite of Hearn’s promotion includes Sandy Ryan, Elif Turhan, Skye Nicolson and Molly McCann.
“Does justice to our ambitions”
“DAZN is the only partner that matches our ambitions in boxing,” explained Hearn. “Its global platform, investment, passion and commitment to boxing make it the perfect partner for Matchroom Boxing’s fighters and events.” The new five-year deal will see Matchroom continue to operate in two of the world’s most important boxing markets, Hearn emphasized.
A new partnership between DAZN’s Foxtel in Australia and the UK stable has also been announced. The deal will see seven major Matchroom events broadcast on Kayo Sports and Foxtel in 2026, according to the announcement. Following the acquisition of Foxtel by DAZN last year, Foxtel has continued to expand its portfolio of sports content on its streaming platforms Kayo Sports and Foxtel Subscription TV. The new partnership with Matchroom Boxing further strengthens Foxtel’s position as Australia’s leading sports and entertainment media company.
