Zachenhuber Challenges WBO Champion Sheeraz

Simon Zachenhuber is getting the chance of a lifetime: On July 25, he will challenge German WBO champion Hamzah Sheeraz in Saudi Arabia.

Zachenhuber (28-1, 19 KOs) had just bounced back from his first professional loss a few days ago with an early victory over Armin Ajrulai. Now he faces the biggest fight of his career to date—at a star-studded event centered around the main event between Anthony Joshua and Kristian Prenga.

However, Hamzah Sheeraz (23-0-1, 19 KOs) poses a formidable challenge. The undefeated Brit secured the vacant WBO title just this past May with a dominant second-round knockout of Alem Begic and is now making his first title defense.

This gives Zachenhuber the chance to prove himself on the biggest stage and become the first German boxer in years to win a world title in the super middleweight division. The world title fight will be broadcast live on DAZN.
