The next big boxing match has been set: Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn will face off in Las Vegas in September.

The next major welterweight title fight is official. WBC world champion Ryan Garcia will defend his title against Conor Benn on September 12 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. This was confirmed by Golden Boy promoter Oscar De La Hoya.
Garcia (25-2, 20 KOs) is thus making his first title defense after securing the WBC belt in February with a clear points victory over Mario Barrios. For the 27-year-old American, this is the first major world title of his career.
However, Conor Benn (25-2-1, 14 KOs) presents a tough challenge. The Brit is the current WBC mandatory challenger and is fighting for a world title for the first time. Benn most recently made a name for himself with a unanimous decision victory over former world champion Regis Prograis. Prior to that, he successfully avenged his loss to Chris Eubank Jr. in a rematch.
Garcia and Benn have been trading verbal jabs in public for months. Now, they’re finally set to face off in the ring. The fight card is being co-hosted by Golden Boy Promotions and Zuffa Boxing. The event will be broadcast internationally on DAZN, while fans in the U.S. can watch the fight on Paramount+.
