The Universum “Boxing Night #15” will take place in Hamburg on June 7. The EBU title fight Aliev vs. Xhoxhaj – and numerous celebrities – will take center stage.
The title fight against Labinot Xhoxhaj (20-0-1, 16 knockouts) will be a home game for challenger Mourad Aliev (13-0, 10 knockouts): Just a few steps away from the new gym, the first big fight night of the new Universum era will take place on June 7 with “Boxing Night #15”. Boxing fans can expect a top-class program with an internationally renowned main fight in the Schanzenviertel at Lagerstraße 30 in Hamburg’s Sternschanze district.
Battle for the EBU European Championship
Mourad Aliev challenges the beefy defending champion Labinot Xhoxhaj. The 12-round fight is for the EBU European heavyweight title and the WBC International Silver belt. The tension is palpable: Someone will fall. The question is – who and when?
Wegner, Abraham & Co. on board
The VIPs at the Ring are hand-picked. Host Ismail Özen has invited celebrities from the worlds of sport, fashion and media: Verona Kerth, Klaudia Obert, Leah Marie (top model), Celina Weil (Miss Germany), Annika Gassner, Sylvia Walker, Christina Hammer, Arthur Abraham, Dariusz Michalczewski, Luan Krasniqi, Carsten Marek and Ulli Wegner.
On Friday (June 6), the official weigh-in will take place from 12 noon at Lagerstraße 30 (20357 Hamburg). On the evening of the fight (June 7), the doors to the event tent in the Sternschanze Hamburg will open at 5 pm and the event will start at 6 pm.
