25 years of SES: Two title fights on the lake stage – Roman Fress and Artur Reis box for international belts in Magdeburg on May 17!

On May 17, 2025, the time has come: SES Boxing, one of Germany’s most successful boxing stables, is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a major anniversary event – and with a high-class open-air gala on the lakeside stage in Magdeburg’s Elbauenpark. A place with history: this is where it all began for SES in 2000 – and now the promotion is returning to this magical location for its anniversary. “This anniversary is a moment of gratitude – for our team, our partners and our fans. 180 boxing events at home and abroad – only a few have managed that,” says SES promoter Ulf Steinforth full of joy.
Two title fights as highlights of the gala
Cruiserweight Roman Fress, ranked in the top 15 in all four world federations, wants to reclaim the WBO Inter-Continental title, which he won once before on the lake stage in 2021 – and lost again there in 2022. His opponent is Michael Seitz from Kaiserslautern (13 wins, 11 knockouts), a very dangerous puncher. Fress said: “I’m ready to get back what was once mine. But I don’t underestimate Seitz. His knockout ratio speaks for itself.”
SES super-middleweight Artur Reis, most recently impressive in the “stable duel” against Artur Henrik, wants to win the vacant IBF Europe title with a victory over unbeaten Croatian Mate Rudan and thus position himself in the top 15 of the IBF. “I know Rudan is a challenge, but I’m ready. I want to take the next step towards the top of the world!”
