Trilogy perfect: Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano meet for the third time on July 11 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The next big women’s boxing match is officially announced! Katie Taylor (24-1, 6 knockouts) will defend her world titles (WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO & Ring Magazine) in the light welterweight division against Amanda Serrano (47-3-1, 31 knockouts) on July 11, 2025 at the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York.
It is the third duel between the two exceptional fighters. The first fight in 2022 is regarded as one of the best women’s fights of all time, which Taylor – then still a lightweight – won narrowly on points (split decision). The second fight between the two superstars in November 2024 in the USA also ended with a close points decision (three times 95 to 94) in favor of the now 38-year-old. However, the fight ended in controversy as Serrano repeatedly criticized Taylor’s headbutts. Even then, both boxers signaled their readiness for a third duel. Now the Irishwoman can complete the hat-trick in Madison Square Garden, where the first fight took place.
Taylor vs. Serrano II, broadcast worldwide on Netflix, reached almost 50 million viewers. We are curious to see whether the third duel can surpass these figures once again.
