Terence “Bud” Crawford made boxing history last night: The US-American defeated Saul “Canelo” Alvarez unanimously on points in a highly anticipated mega-fight to become the undisputed super middleweight world champion. In front of a sold-out crowd at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas – broadcast live by Netflix – the judges scored the fight 115-113, 115-113 and 116-112 in favor of the unbeaten champion from Omaha.

Crawford (42-0, 31 knockouts) inflicted Canelo (63-3-2, 39 knockouts) with his first defeat in six fights. He dictated the action from the start with his patience, ring intelligence and precise counter-attacks. As usual, Canelo looked to move forward, attacking with hard body strikes and trying to wear down his technically superior opponent.

The fight developed into a tactical chess match: Alvarez relied on pressure and power, while Crawford shone with footwork, rhythm changes and clean timing. Especially in the late rounds, Crawford proved his ability to adapt, clearly hitting Canelo and skillfully dodging the heavy punches.

After twelve high-intensity rounds, it was clear that Crawford was not only the new undisputed champion, but also cemented his status as one of the greatest pound-for-pound boxers of all time. This victory was more than a triumph – it was a statement against a modern boxing icon.
