The punching bag shakes under the blows. Left jab, right jab, left hook. The combination is powerful and precise. Sweat drips from his forehead and runs into his eyes. The bandages on his hands have long since been soaked, every breath sounds heavy. He plunges into the next series again and again, as if he wants to tear the bag in front of him. But not for his rematch against Lamont Roach, who forced him to draw for the first time in his professional career last March. But for an exhibition fight against YouTube star Jake Paul on November 14. At first glance, an extreme mismatch. And at second glance too.
Florida says “yes”
Davis is 1.66 meters tall and most recently weighed just under 60 kilograms. Jake Paul measures 1.85 meters and thus towers over him by a whopping 22 centimeters. Even more serious is the difference in weight: Paul recently weighed around 90 kilograms, 30 more than his opponent. A difference that is an absolute no-go in boxing, and for good reason….
