Former IBF world champion William Scull returns to the ring after his defeat against Canelo Alvarez – his opponent is the Danish super talent Jacob Bank.

Berlin-based AGON boxer William Scull will meet unbeaten middleweight Jacob Bank on January 31 at the Sydbank Arena in Kolding, Denmark. For Scull (23-1, 9 knockouts), it will be his first appearance since his title unification bout against Saul “Canelo” Alvarez in Saudi Arabia in May of this year, in which the Cuban lost his IBF world title. Scull had previously won his first world title belt in October 2024 with a victory over Vladimir Shishkin. However, he was clearly defeated by Canelo in his first title defense.
The 24-year-old Dane Jacob Bank (17-0, 9 knockouts) is regarded as one of the biggest talents in the European middleweight division. The local hero has so far only boxed in Denmark and recently impressed with a knockout victory in round five over former world champion Tyron Zeuge. His other notable victories have come against Ralfs Vilcans, Ronny Landaeta and Damian Biancho. AGON Sports announced the fight on Instagram: “William Scull returns on January 31st – he meets Jacob Bank, the conqueror of Tyron Zeuge, in Denmark. More details to follow shortly.”
The event is promoted by Primetime Boxing and is the main fight of “Primetime Fight Night Vol. 6”. In addition, unified bantamweight world champion Dina Thorslund will also be on the card. The event will be streamed live worldwide via DAZN.
