Former two-time heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury has reiterated that he will not be returning to the boxing ring – and even an astronomical offer would not change that. “There’s no real reason for me to get back in the ring,” said Fury in an interview with the YouTube channel FurociTV. “I’m 37 years old, I’ve taken enough punches in the last 25 years. Why should I do it again? It used to be about money, about titles – but now I have more money than I can ever spend and enough belts to fill a museum. That doesn’t make me any happier.”

The Briton, who has a record of 34-2-1 (24 knockouts), lost twice in a row to the exceptional Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk in 2024 – his only defeats as a professional. “You could offer me a billion pounds today, I wouldn’t be the slightest bit interested,” Fury continued. “Boxing has no mercy – it only demands sacrifice. I’m sitting here with a clear mind, I’ve won every title, made a fortune and I’m physically unharmed. I don’t want to tempt fate.”

The “Gypsy King” makes it clear that he wants to leave the fame and attention of the ring behind him for good. “How many more times can you go to the well without doing permanent damage? There comes a point when it just becomes pointless.”
