Former AGON boxer Jack Culcay is apparently heavily in debt. The Potsdam district court has now opened insolvency proceedings against the half-middleweight.

A heavy blow for Jack Culcay: On September 17, the Potsdam District Court opened insolvency proceedings against the assets of the former light middleweight champion under file number 670 IK 154/25.
All creditors were requested to register their claims with the insolvency administrator Prof. Dr. Riedemann (Berlin) by October 29, 2025. This was publicly announced by the insolvency court. The aim of these proceedings is for the professional boxer to receive a discharge of residual debt after the standard duration of the insolvency proceedings and then be debt-free again.

According to BOXSPORT information, Jack Robert Culcay-Keth is heavily in debt. Culcay has not boxed again since his
Culcay still owes his former promoter AGON Sports & Events almost 100,000 euros, for which there is already a legally binding title from a German court. According to further information, the 40-year-old, who was born in Ecuador and grew up in Germany, is also said to have received loans from friends in the boxing world without repaying them.
“Special guest” in Falkensee
It remains unclear why Culcay is no longer boxing and will not continue his outstanding sporting career. At the last event of the Kuc promotion on October 18 in Falkensee, he was photographed as a “special guest” with promoter Almin Kuc.
Culcay had an outstanding amateur career. In 2008 he was runner-up in the European Championships, and a year later “Golden Jack” won the world title in Milan. Culcay is and remains the last world champion of the German Boxing Association. He has been a professional since 2009, where he also became European champion and interim WBA world champion and was later upgraded to “regular” champion.
Successful boxing career
Under the aegis of AGON Sports & Events, Culcay won the EBU European title, the IBF International title and the WBO International title. In August 2020, he beat Abass Baraou in an epic fight.
Jack Culcay is the father of two children and is in a relationship with former “Miss Berlin” Anna Höfel. Apparently, he has not managed to build a solid financial foundation during his decades-long boxing career.
