After the Oberhausen sellout, Queensberry is planning the next German event with Agit Kabayel. Frank Warren announces a fight for the WBC interim champion in May – and holds out the prospect of a larger venue.

Agit Kabayel is to continue on the road in 2026 – with an audience behind him. Queensberry promoter Frank Warren is so impressed after the successful home show in Oberhausen that he is already considering the next show in Germany. “We had the balls to go there and take the chance,” says Warren.
The 33-year-old heavyweight has held the interim WBC title since defeating Zhilei Zhang in February 2025 and is waiting to see where Oleksandr Usyk goes as unified champion. Instead of sending Kabayel on a break, Queensberry is deliberately keeping him active. In Oberhausen, Kabayel recently stopped the previously unbeaten Damian Knyba in three rounds – the arena was quickly sold out.
Warren sees this as a clear sign. Germany is a boxing market with tradition and Kabayel has hero status there. That’s why things should continue quickly: According to Warren, Kabayel will box in May, and a larger location is already being considered for the next event in Germany. British names are being touted as opponents in the scene, but this has not yet been officially confirmed.
