Michaela Kotásková is on the verge of realizing her long-awaited dream. On April 5, the previously undefeated bounce boxer will fight in London for the vacant WBO world championship at half-middleweight. Her opponent could not be more challenging: Chantelle Cameron was the undisputed world champion at half-welterweight and is regarded as one of the strongest female boxers in Europe. For many observers, Kotásková is the underdog. But she has no intention of traveling to London as an extra.

“I’ve been working towards this moment for years. I’m not coming to London to gain experience, but to show that I belong at this level,” she explains confidently.
