Arena Box-Promotion presents five WBC title fights on May 23 in Oberhausen – including Hadribeaj-Samake and Hasso vs. Ramos.

Oberhausen is getting a big WBC evening on May 23. Arena Box-Promotion is organizing several title fights in the Willy-Jürissen-Halle – including a WBC super welterweight eliminator between Ermal Hadribeaj and the unbeaten Frenchman Bakary Samake. The fight was originally scheduled to take place in Paris, but fell through after the event was canceled. After the subsequent auction, Arena Box-Promotion secured the rights – now the duel is coming to Germany. For Hadribeaj, this is a huge opportunity to get closer to the World Championships.
Local hero Badien Hasso is the focus of the main fight. The undefeated light heavyweight will defend his WBC International title against the 19-year-old Mexican Victor Ramos, who has won all eleven of his professional fights early. In addition, several fights from the postponed Cyprus event will move to Oberhausen. Among others, heavyweight Mourad Aliev will face Nigerian Raphael Akpejiori. Luis Vela and Muhamet Qamili will also be boxing for WBC titles. The event is already almost sold out. An international broadcast is still being negotiated.
