Michael Eifert finally gets his big world championship opportunity. The German will face light heavyweight star Dmitry Bivol on Saturday – DAZN will show the fight live and exclusively.
Michael “Diesel” Eifert is set for the biggest fight of his career on Saturday. The 28-year-old from Bautzen will face Dmitry Bivol in Yekaterinburg and fight for the world light heavyweight title. The duel will be broadcast live and exclusively on DAZN – with no additional pay-per-view fee. The broadcast starts at 17:00. The event will be commentated by the DAZN boxing team with Uli Hebel and Andreas Selak. The fight will take place as part of an event organized by RCC Boxing Promotions in Russia.
For Eifert, it is a long-awaited title opportunity. He had already impressed in March 2023 with a strong points victory against former world champion Jean Pascal, putting himself in position as an official challenger. Now he is up against one of the best boxers in the world. Bivol enters the ring as the clear favorite. The former conqueror of Canelo Alvarez has been one of the absolute elite in the light heavyweight division for years. Should Eifert win, it would be one of the greatest German boxing sensations of recent years.
