German women’s boxing will shine in all its glory in 2024. With Tina Rupprecht, Nina Meinke and Sarah Bormann, three exceptional athletes have impressively proven why they belong to the absolute world elite. Tina Rupprecht (14-1-1, 3 knockouts) not only won the WBC atomweight title at the beginning of the year, but also secured the WBA and WBO belts at the end of November. The Augsburg native, known for her technical precision and indomitable will, thus rose to number one in the limit. “Every fight is a new challenge that I approach with full dedication and commitment,” emphasizes the 32-year-old.

Nina Meinke (19-3, 4 knockouts) was crowned IBF featherweight world champion in August. In a thrilling duel over the men’s distance of twelve rounds, the Berlin native showed that she is not only physically but also mentally at the top. “This title is a symbol of what women can achieve in boxing,” said “The Brave” after her triumph. Sarah Bormann (19-1, 7 knockouts) shone with two strong victories. With incredible discipline and dynamism, the Hessian won the IBO minimumweight belt in May. In mid-December, the 24-year-old then celebrated her biggest career success to date when she won the WBO world title against Jennifer Sabrina Meza.
