Explosive world championship fight in St. Pauli: Fai Phannarai defends her WBF belt against Niorkis Carreno from Venezuela on October 3.

Hamburg’s cult location “Große Freiheit 36” will be the scene of a real world championship clash on October 3: Fai Phannarai Netisri will step into the ring for the 5th title defense of her WBF world bantamweight title (55.3 kg). Opponent: Niorkis Carreno – power woman from Caracas with a KO rate of 80 percent and plenty of world championship experience with the WBO, WBC and IBO.
Carreno is regarded as a real threat with her merciless forward movement and hard hands – she has already gone the full distance against world-class women such as Tina Rupprecht and Dina Thorslund. For Phannarai, who recently recorded victories against top-class players such as Ana Arrazola and Isis Vargas Perez, it is the toughest test to date – and a possible leap to the No. 1 spot in the world rankings at BoxRec.
The co-main event also promises pure action: undefeated Balkan bombers Vinko Zadro (Croatia) and Alexandr Ivanovic (Bosnia) will clash in the light heavyweight division. Plus: the debut of two top amateur stars, a Pavlov weight change, and a strong supporting program with live acts, Ina Menzer as co-host and pure Kiez flair.
Tickets for October 3 are available at eventim.de. The public weigh-in will take place on October 2 from 3 pm in the boxing cellar “Zur Ritze” (Reeperbahn No. 140). Remaining tickets will be available on October 3rd at the box office (Große Freiheit 36) from 3 pm. Admission to the event from 3 pm, the first gong sounds at 4 pm.
