The main fight of the evening was between middleweight Etinosa Oliha and the powerful Alexander Pavlov from Hamburg. In a fight scheduled by the IBF as an eliminator over a maximum of twelve rounds, both boxers were fighting for an early world championship opportunity. The AGON boxer left nothing to chance from the very first seconds.

Quick jabs ensured respect early on

With quick jabs and targeted attacks, Oliha commanded respect early on and scored effective strikes. Pavlov remained vigilant, but had to pay tribute to the Italian-born fighter’s dominance early on. After a series of attacks and a crisp hand to the head, the fighter from Hamburg went down in round three. Pavlov got back to his feet, but had to retire a few moments later due to a shoulder injury.

On the undercard, Bujar Tahiri made his AGON debut against Nicolas David Veron and dominated the fight from the outset. Although the middleweight had to take a few hits, Tahiri controlled the action and landed many strong punches. In the end, Tahiri won unanimously on points.

Hamsat Shadalov won his eighth professional fight against the experienced Argentinian Sergio Javier Escobar. Super featherweight Shadalov dominated the fight with precise punches and good footwork, although he was challenged by his opponent’s provocations. Despite a point deduction in the last round because his mouthguard fell out several times, he won clearly on points.

Shala makes a successful return

Granit Shala, who was back in the ring after his European Heavyweight Championship defeat, defeated Argentinian Emilio Ezequiel Zarate. Shala used his speed and precise punches to control the fight early on. In the third round, Zarate’s corner threw in the towel after being hit hard several times.

Half-middleweight Paul Wall showed his technical superiority against Fabio Cascone right from the start and dominated the fight. He worked his opponent from all angles and left Cascone hardly any room for his own actions. Cascone went down in the third round and was counted out after an eye injury, giving Wall the knockout victory.

Alexander Müller vom Berge lost his fight against Srdan Govedarica in the heavyweight division prematurely after a lengthy injury layoff. Although he landed good punches at the beginning, he was hit hard on the head several times and went down in the third round. The referee stopped the fight after Müller vom Berge was hit hard again, which resulted in his first defeat.

Lasotta and Gubeladze dominate

Dariusz Lasotta returned to the ring against Artsiom Charniakevich and dominated the fight over six rounds. Despite strong strikes from Lasotta, Charniakevich held on but was unable to hold his own against his opponent’s technical advantages. Lasotta won the fight unanimously on all scores.

Georgy Gubeladze, the former Bundesliga boxer from BC Traktor Schwerin, made his professional debut against Sahin Forcakovic. The Bosnian had no chance against the technically superior Gubeladze and was knocked down three times in the first round. After a final body kick, Forcakovic was counted out and Gubeladze won by knockout.
