Ruhe Boxing Promotion has made a prominent addition to its roster. As announced by promoter Piergiulio Ruhe’s company, former IBF super-middleweight world champion William Scull will be fighting for the German promotion in future. By signing the Cuban, Ruhe Boxing Promotion is sending out a clear signal on the international market. Scull has been one of the best-known names in the super-middleweight division for years and has made a name for himself worldwide with his technically strong and disciplined ring work.

The professional, who now lives in Mallorca, celebrated his greatest career success in 2024 when he won the IBF super middleweight world title. Scull recently attracted international attention with his fight against superstar Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. In Riyadh, he faced the exceptional Mexican in a duel for the undisputed world championship and presented himself on the biggest stage in professional boxing.

Promoter Piergiulio Ruhe sees the signing as a milestone for his company. “The signing of William Scull is a historic moment for our promotion. William belongs to the world elite of boxing and not only brings sporting quality, but also international appeal,” explained Ruhe. Scull is also looking forward to the new collaboration. “I am very much looking forward to the new chapter in my career with Ruhe Boxing Promotion. Together we will pursue great goals and offer the fans exciting fights at the highest level,” said the former world champion.

The specific plans that Ruhe Boxing Promotion is pursuing with Scull were not initially announced. What is clear, however, is that with the 32-year-old, the promotion is bringing a boxer into the team who still has ambitions for the biggest fights in the super middleweight division.
