Super featherweight Hamsat Shadalov will fight for the International German Championship on February 15 at the boxing event organized by AGON Sports and Sturm Boxing.

The boxing year 2025 starts with a loud bang! On February 15, Felix Sturm, one of Germany’s most successful and charismatic boxers, will return live on DAZN. Germany’s boxing event of the year will take place in the ratiopharm Arena in Neu-Ulm against a gigantic backdrop. Sturm Boxing is cooperating with Berlin promoter Ingo Volckmann and his AGON Sports.
Bitter! Tahiri has to cancel due to injury
Bitter news for boxing fans: Bujar Tahiri has had to cancel his planned fight on February 15 at the ratiopharm Arena in Neu-Ulm due to injury. The up-and-coming middleweight from the AGON boxing stable injured himself in sparring and is unable to compete. “Unfortunately, the preparation didn’t go as planned. I picked up an injury in the middle of the sparring phase. After consulting with my team and my family, we came to the decision that I won’t be fighting on February 15. I am truly sorry for everyone out there who is supporting me and has already bought tickets,” said Tahiri.
Big stage for top talent Shadalov
But the event has a top-class replacement: Hamsat Shadalov will now step into the ring in a 10-round title fight for the International German Championship against Eduardo Bajak, who is unbeaten in five fights! Shadalov, one of the most promising talents in German boxing, will thus get the chance to prove himself on the big stage for the first time in a professional title fight. The 26-year-old from Berlin can look back on an impressive amateur career and has already recommended himself in the professional arena with strong performances. Now he is facing the biggest challenge of his career to date.
“I only got the offer to fight for the title at short notice and didn’t think twice about it. I don’t care whether I box eight or ten rounds – I’m well prepared! It’s a great opportunity for me to show myself and win my first title. I’m ready for this fight and will give it my all!” said Shadalov with determination.
Gualtieri ahead of an explosive rematch
The event remains an absolute highlight for all boxing fans! In addition to the eagerly awaited comeback of Felix Sturm , spectators can expect a spectacular fight card with top-class fights. In another title fight, former world champion Vincenzo Gualtieri will step into the ring in an explosive rematch against Alexander Pavlov. The two middleweights will fight for the WBO European title.
“Ein Sturm zieht auf” will be broadcast live and exclusively on DAZN in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Tickets for Germany’s boxing event of the year with Felix Sturm in the main bout are available at www.ticketmaster.de and all known ticket agencies. Information on the other fights on February 15 in the ratiopharm Arena in Neu-Ulm will follow in the next few days.
