Osleys Iglesias fights undefeated Pavel Silyagin for the vacant IBF and IBO super middleweight world championships at the Casino de Montréal on April 9, 2026 – Live broadcast worldwide on DAZN, biggest boxing event of the year in Quebec

The “Boogeyman” is back in the ring! Germany-based Cuban and reigning IBO super middleweight world champion Osleys Iglesias will be going for more gold on April 9 at the Casino de Montréal. He will face the unbeaten Russian Pavel Silyagin in a highly anticipated showdown. At stake are the vacant IBF and IBO super middleweight world titles – a unification fight that is being billed as the biggest boxing event in the history of the arena.
“You can’t underestimate the challenge,” explained Camille Estephan, President of Eye of the Tiger Management. “Silyagin is world class. But we are convinced that Iglesias is a generational talent – with the potential to attack not only the elite in the super middleweight division, but pound-for-pound worldwide. This fight belongs in Montréal.”
Iglesias (14-0, 13 knockouts), also known as “El Tornado”, is considered one of the division’s most feared punchers. The Cuban southpaw has delivered a series of dominant knockouts since joining EOTTM in March 2024 – including stopping Marcelo Coceres, Evgeny Shevedenko, Sena Agbeko and Petro Ivanov early. He celebrated the biggest win of his career to date in November when he knocked out Vladimir Shishkin in round eight to become the IBF mandatory challenger – at a time when the title was still held by Saul Alvarez.
After the retirement of Terence Crawford, the IBF belt became vacant. Numerous boxers refused to negotiate with Iglesias before IBF No. 7 challenger Silyagin (16-0-1, 7 knockouts) finally accepted the fight.
“When I heard about the official announcement of the IBF title fight, I knew it was my chance to make history,” said Silyagin. “Iglesias punches hard and from unusual angles. It will be a long, hard fight. We will go to the mountains to take our fitness to a new level.”
Iglesias himself is confident: “It will be a great battle. I respect my opponent, but I believe this opportunity has come for a reason. With God on my side, I’m going to get what’s coming to me.”
The event will be broadcast in Quebec exclusively on Punching Grace, while TVA Sports will show the preliminaries. Worldwide, the event can be seen live on DAZN. In addition, EOTTM has signed a two-event deal with the streaming provider, which will also broadcast the #ButlerHiseni card from Montréal on March 5.
