The former world champion leads a high-caliber card with Lopez vs. Stevenson, two world championship fights and international star power in New York.

Turki Al-Aheikh officially announced that The Ring 6 (January 31) at the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York will be expanded to include two high-profile world championship fights. In addition, former world champion Keyshawn Davis celebrates his eagerly awaited comeback. The event, broadcast worldwide on DAZN, marks the first ring card of 2026 and is presented by SELA in partnership with Matchroom Boxing.
In the main event, Teofimo Lopez, the local hero from Brooklyn, will defend his WBO and Ring Magazine semi-welterweight titles against none other than Shakur Stevenson, the reigning WBC World Lightweight Champion from Newark, New Jersey. A real pound-for-pound duel between two US superstars.
In the co-main event, “The Businessman” Keyshawn Davis returns. The former lightweight world champion and current WBO number one challenger will face the dangerous Jamaine Ortiz. The unbeaten 26-year-old (13-0, 9 knockouts) was last in the ring in February last year when he defeated Denys Berinchyk at the Madison Square Garden Theatre. Ortiz (20-2-1, 10 knockouts), who has only lost to Teofimo Lopez and Vasyl Lomachenko, is looking to topple the favorite and earn a title shot.
Another middleweight world title clash: WBC world champion Carlos Adames (24-1-1, 16 knockouts) puts his belt on the line against US challenger Austin “Ammo” Williams (19-1, 13 knockouts). Adames last boxed in February in Riyadh in a controversial draw against Hamzah Sheeraz. Williams now gets his second chance at world championship gold after his late knockout defeat to the same Sheeraz in June 2024. A title is also at stake in the featherweight division. Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington (16-0, 9 knockouts) defends his WBC world title in front of his home crowd in Brooklyn against the experienced Carlos Castro (30-3, 14 knockouts), who recently demanded everything from Stephen Fulton in Las Vegas.
Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller (26-1-2, 22 knockouts) provides the heavyweight action. The 37-year-old will face the hard-hitting “Black Lion” Kingsley Ibeh (16-2-1, 14 knockouts), who has already been in the ring with names such as Jared Anderson and Gerald Washington. Rounding out the card is undefeated Saudi welterweight prospect Ziyad “Zizo” Almaayouf (7-0-1, 1 knockout), who will face Miami-based Kevin Castillo (5-2-1) in his USA comeback.
