Phannarai and Zachenhuber triumph in Stuttgart

Fai Phannarai and Simon Zachenhuber extended their unblemished records in Stuttgart – Altin Zogaj was also successful.

Stuttgart, Germany – An action-packed evening of boxing in the Scharrena ended with impressive victories for Altin Zogaj, Simon Zachenhuber and Fai Phannarai. In the main event, unbeaten Kosovo boxer Altin Zogaj (16-0, 8 knockouts) secured the WBA Continental light heavyweight title against Alexander Rigas (20-3, 9 knockouts) by unanimous points decision. After ten hard-fought rounds, the judges scored the fight 97-93 and twice 96-94 in favor of Zogaj.

Zachenhuber with a dominant knockout performance

In the super middleweight division, the also unbeaten P2M boxer Simon Zachenhuber (26-0, 16 knockouts) continued his winning streak and defeated the experienced Polish journeyman Robert Talarek (29-27-3, 19 knockouts) by technical knockout in the third round. Zachenhuber applied pressure right from the start and sent Talarek to the floor for the first time with a straight left hand. The Pole got up again after a 6-count, but went down again a short time later with an identical combination. Although Talarek got up again, he showed wobbly legs. Zachenhuber took his chance and ended the fight with a right hook, forcing the referee to stop the fight with 44 seconds remaining in the third round.

Netisri remains world champion – clear points decision

Boxen im Norden” fighter Fai Phannarai (16-0, 6 knockouts), former WIBF and current WBF super bantamweight world champion, also impressed with a unanimous points decision over six rounds against Berlin-based Bulgarian Milena Koleva (10-17-1, 4 knockouts).
