Two top fights pick up speed: The press dates for Rodriguez vs. Vargas and Foster vs. Ford kick off in Las Vegas.

The summer of boxing 2026 casts its shadow ahead! Matchroom Boxing has scheduled two major press conferences in Las Vegas this week to officially herald two top-class title fights. First up is the clash between Jesse Rodriguez and Antonio Vargas. “Bam” Rodriguez wants to make history on June 13 in Glendale and become world champion in a third weight class. Vargas currently holds the WBA bantamweight title and is facing the biggest challenge of his career.
Just two weeks earlier, on May 30 in Houston, O’Shaquie Foster will defend his WBC super featherweight belt against Raymond Ford. The duel is regarded as a high-class clash between two technically strong boxers with world-class level. Both fights will be broadcast worldwide on DAZN. The press conferences will take place on April 23 and 24 at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Las Vegas and mark the official launch of the promotion. With these two events, Matchroom is sending out a clear signal: The summer should be characterized by big names, title fights and top international duels.
