Emotional boxing night at Fides Sports in Ingolstadt: While Peter Milas makes a big statement, Granit Stein wins the hearts of the fans despite losing.

“The Show Must Go On VI” at the Maritim Hotel Ingolstadt delivered what it promised: In front of a sold-out audience, the 1,200 spectators experienced a high-class and emotional night of boxing with strong performances and intense duels.
Petar Milas made a clear statement in the co-main event. The Croatian dominated his opponent Joel Tambwe Djeko over long stretches with variable, technically clean work and light-footedness. Time and again, Milas changed his delivery, landed precise strikes and consistently pushed Djeko to the ropes.

The decision came in the fourth round: a perfect left-right combination sent the Belgian to the floor – he couldn’t get up. Knockout victory for Milas, who impressively underlined his ambitions in the heavyweight division. Not even Olympic champion Tony Yoka managed such a quick knockout. He was in the ring with the Belgian for a whole twelve rounds.
Fight for the “WBA Continental” belt
In the main fight, Granit Stein was narrowly defeated in a close and hard-fought duel. The super middleweight from Ingolstadt lost to Mexican Diego Carmona in the fight for the “WBA Continental” title. Stein delivered a passionate fight over the full distance, kept the pace high and showed great morale. Even if it wasn’t enough for the WBA belt in the end, he impressed with his commitment and fighting spirit and won the sympathy of the crowd.
Burim Sylejmani from Fides Sports draws a positive conclusion from the evening. “I’m impressed by Ingolstadt and the atmosphere. We saw some great, fair fights,” summarized the Magdeburg promoter. “Although our main fighter Granit Stein narrowly lost the fight, he won the hearts of many fans that evening. Petar Milas won convincingly and will now get a big fight. We’ll be hearing a lot more from both of them!”
