BC Traktor Schwerin is making history on November 9, 2024: for the first time in its long club history, the club is hosting a professional boxing evening. The event is called “TRAKTOR Fight Night 1”. Five athletes will be in the ring that evening, led by middleweight Denis Radovan, the only one of the quintet who can already look back on a successful professional career.

Denis Radovan contests main fight

Born in Cologne and from Schwerin by choice, he will fight the main event of “TRAKTOR Fight Night 1”. Radovan, who has been active in professional boxing since 2016, has won 17 of his 18 fights and drawn one. The unbeaten IBF European champion is particularly looking forward to the fight in Schwerin. “It will be my first professional fight in Schwerin and I know that we will have an incredible atmosphere in the hall with our Schwerin crowd,” says Radovan. For the 31-year-old, the fight is also a step back to the top after an injury-related break.

Four more new professionals from Schwerin in the ring

In addition to Radovan, four other BC Traktor boxers will be entering the ring, all of whom are making their professional debuts. They are Alen Rahimic in the super featherweight division, David Gkevorgkian in the super lightweight division, Daniel Meyer in the middleweight division and Melvin Kahrimanovic in the cruiserweight division. These athletes are already experienced amateurs and have won the German Boxing League several times with Team Traktor. Now they are competing in the professional arena for the first time and are well known to the Schwerin audience from numerous fights.

Combining professional and amateur boxing

The entry into professional boxing is an important step for BC Traktor Schwerin. This is made possible by a new regulation that allows both amateurs to take part in professional fights and professionals to remain active in Olympic boxing. With TRAKTOR Fight Night and professional boxing, BC Traktor not only wants to create new career opportunities for its athletes, but also generate funds for social projects and youth development. “Our entry into professional boxing is the next milestone in the history of BC Traktor Schwerin,” says Frank Kleinsorg, chairman of the club.

Premiere on November 9 in Schwerin

The “TRAKTOR Fight Night 1” will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2024, in the Palmberg Arena in Schwerin. Tickets are available from 33 euros, VIP tickets cost 160 euros. The event promises exciting fights and a special atmosphere that will take boxing in Schwerin to a new level.
