Rock, passion and hard-hitting fights: Hamburg’s top boxers step into the ring on May 1 at the anniversary night of “Boxen im Norden”!
On May 1, 2025, the Hamburg boxing promotion “Boxen im Norden” celebrates its tenth anniversary – with a real highlight! Around 1600 fans will experience a brilliant fight card at the legendary rock disco “Große Freiheit 36”. The focal point of the evening will be the young double world champion Fai Phannarai (16-0, 6 knockouts), who will face Mexican Isis Vargas Perez (10-6, 3 knockouts) in her fifth title defense. At 28, Perez already has a lot of experience and will demand everything from Phannarai. A win could catapult the 23-year-old from Hamburg to third place in the world rankings at super bantamweight (55.338 kg).
Alexander Pavlov will also attack again at the “Boxen im Norden” gala. The Hamburg native will fight the previously unbeaten Dutchman Alaa Al Mahmoud (27) for the WBF world heavyweight title. It is a duel between two knockout specialists, both with a knockout ratio of 73%. Dennis Krieger fights for the WBF interim title in the super welterweight (69.9 kg) against Filip Gorol from Prague. Also on the card: Vincent Feigenbutz, who is making his comeback after a two-year break and will face Lukas Ferneza in the middleweight division. Hamburg crowd favorites Nenad Stancic (15-0) and Vladi Hitlin (72.5 kg) also want to shine in front of their home crowd.
The evening will be accompanied by rock and soul acts, including the live premiere of the song “Herz einer Kriegerin”, which was produced especially for Fai Phannarai. The official weigh-in will take place on April 30, 2025 from 2:30 pm in the legendary boxing cellar “Zur Ritze” (Reeperbahn 140).
