Simon Zachenhuber is back – and will be at the center of an exciting German boxing event on Saturday evening. At the “Ulm boxt” fight night, presented by Schwarzkopf Boxing, the unbeaten super middleweight (26-0) will contest the main fight against the experienced Leonardo Di Stefano (16-4). The venue is the Einstein Hall of the Maritim Hotel in Ulm.

For Zachenhuber, it is the next step on the road to his world championship dream. The 25-year-old is already ranked among the top 15 in the IBF and WBO world rankings – a title fight seems within reach. But until then, he will have to continue to collect victories, prove his form and show his presence. His opponent Di Stefano may not be one of the world’s elite, but he has plenty of international experience – including fights in Mexico and the USA.

“I can feel that I’m developing in every training session,” said Zachenhuber in the run-up to the event. “I’ve also taken the next step in this preparation – and I want to show that on Saturday.” The matador added: “I’m prepared for anything. If it’s nice boxing, it’ll be nice boxing – if it’s a fight, then it’ll be a fight.” Since his convincing victory against Emre Cukur, things have been quiet around the ambitious athlete. Now he wants to shine with his performance – in front of an audience, in front of a home crowd and with a view to higher tasks.

In addition to Zachenhuber, spectators can look forward to a strong supporting program. In the co-main event, Fredi Knorpp and Kushtrim Tahirukaj (both 7-0) will fight for the German light heavyweight championship – a highly anticipated duel between two unbeaten talents. Other names such as Willi Knorpp, Eduardo Bajak and WBO European champion Tommy Punch will also step into the ring.

Tickets are available from 30 € on Eventim. Admission is from 5 pm. A livestream is being planned, but has not yet been finally confirmed.
