Huge opportunity for Natalie Zimmermann! On May 23, the unbeaten German will face Terri Harper in her first world championship fight.

Natalie Zimmermann (13-0, 13 knockouts) will get the chance of a lifetime on May 23, 2025. The Hamburg native will face reigning WBO World Lightweight Champion Terri Harper (15-2-2, 6 knockouts) in Doncaster, England. Harper, who is regarded as one of the best female boxers in the world, has the home advantage on her side, as the open-air event will take place in the Eco-Power Stadium with over 15,000 spectators. The 28-year-old Brit is determined to defend her title in front of her own fans and goes into the fight as the heavy favorite. “It’s great and I’m grateful for the opportunity to box in my home town, hopefully in front of a sold-out stadium. It’s one of my childhood dreams come true,” said Harper.
The 42-year-old North German, who already holds the WIBF World Light Welterweight title, wants to show that experience and hard work can take her to the top. Supported by her trainer Andre Nicolai Walther and with occasional tips from boxing legend Artur Grigorian, she promises to surprise Harper with clever strategies. “It has always been my dream to fight a fighter like Terri Harper. I’m going to show my skills and spring a surprise,” said a combative Zimmermann. DAZN will broadcast the fight worldwide.
