Our knockout of the week naturally comes from undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, who knocked out Daniel Dubois in round five at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night.

In front of almost 100,000 fans at London’s Wembley Stadium, the 38-year-old produced a tactical and technical masterpiece. Right from the start, Usyk dominated with his jab, counter-attacking with precision and barely giving Dubois a chance to breathe. He then struck twice in round five: first a right punch brought Dubois to the ground, and a little later a cracking left hook ended the fight for good.
Almost two years after the controversial first duel, Usyk made a clear statement – and successfully defended his WBA, WBO, WBC and The Ring titles, while also regaining the IBF belt. Usyk thus remains unbeaten (24-0, 15 knockouts) and announced that he would be taking a break for the time being: “I want to rest and spend time at home with my family, my wife and my children. Maybe take two or three months off and just rest.”
