Moses Itauma, who is only 20 years old, set an exclamation mark in the heavyweight division with a dominant first-round knockout against former world championship challenger Dillian Whyte.

British heavyweight talent Moses Itauma has celebrated his biggest victory to date in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In the ANB Arena, broadcast live on DAZN, the exceptional 20-year-old knocked out his compatriot Dillian Whyte in spectacular fashion in the first round.
Itauma (13-0, 11 knockouts) thus recorded his ninth early victory in a row and once again underlined that he is making great strides towards a future world championship duel. Whyte (31-4, 21 knockouts), a former world championship challenger and experienced ring veteran, had little to oppose the technically composed and ice-cold Itauma and lasted less than two minutes.
After just under half a round, Whyte began to visibly wobble as Itauma landed a hard right body shot, followed by a left hand to the head. An explosive combination firework brought Whyte to the brink of a knockdown, but the “Body Snatcher” was able to stay on his feet for a short time. Itauma remained ice-cold, continued to work the body and finally landed a brutal right hook – the fight was history after 1:56 minutes. The referee stopped the unequal duel immediately as Whyte staggered to his feet and could only hold on with the help of the ring pieces.
After his triumph, Itauma made it unmistakably clear that he is ready for the big names: “What’s next? I’ll fight anyone they put in front of me. Joseph Parker, Agit Kabayel – put me in the ring with them! I’m only 20, I’ve still got 10 to 15 years of career ahead of me and you’ll see a lot more of me. If I get the chance, I’ll be 100 percent world champion in 2026.”
