Indio, California – Gabriela Fundora (17-0, 9 knockouts) once again proved her dominance in women’s boxing and successfully defended her undisputed flyweight world titles. In the co-main attraction to the world title fight between Oscar Collazo and Jayson Vayson, the US-American prevailed with a technical knockout in round seven against Canada’s Alexas Kubicki (13-2, 2 knockouts) at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio. The fight was broadcast live on DAZN by Golden Boy Promotions under the direction of Oscar De La Hoya.

Fundora had already taken command in the sixth round when referee Ray Corona warned Kubicki to show more offensive actions, otherwise he would stop the fight. In round seven, Fundora increased the pressure, launched a series of punches and finally forced Corona to stop the fight – although Kubicki was still standing, but appeared to have no chance.

For Fundora, it was the second successful title defense of her undisputed world championship, including the prestigious Ring Magazine Belt. In doing so, she cemented her status as one of the most dominant fighters in women’s boxing.

On the undercard, unbeaten Uruguayan Adriana Pineiro (9-0, 1 knockout) celebrated a clear points victory against US-American Gloria Munguilla (8-2) in the semi-flyweight division. The judges scored the fight 79-73, 79-73 and 80-72.
