Sovereign title defense in the international arena: Super featherweight Lara Ochmann has impressively defended her WBF (World Boxing Federation) world championship belt. The title holder defeated Lena Venjacob by technical knockout in the second round at “The Agenda Arena” in Dubai.

The decisive moment came after a perfectly timed counterattack, which Ochmann turned into a ten-punch combination. Challenger Lena Venjacob from Gütersloh was hit hard, whereupon the referee ended the fight prematurely without hesitation.

“Battle plan consistently implemented”

“I felt strong today and consistently implemented the fight plan. This win means a lot to me,” said Ochmann after the fight. “And we’re nowhere near the end of our journey.”

The world champion in the super feather dominated the action in the ring from the first bell, controlling the distance, pace and actions and hardly giving her opponent any opportunities to make her own mark. With this clear success, Ochmann underlines that she is ready for the next big challenge in the international title race. The triumph in Dubai is another important milestone in the career of the 25-year-old from Magdeburg and raises expectations for upcoming top fights in 2026.
