Victor Cakiqi wants to know: The talented Berlin boxer will be fighting for the German welterweight championship in Potsdam. The undercard also promises pure action.

A boxing gala by Kuc Boxing Promotion is in the starting blocks – and this time the audience can expect a special highlight! For the first time, the Berlin boxing promotion is making a guest appearance at the MBS Arena in Potsdam. Next Saturday (10 May), Kuc’s seventh professional boxing gala will not only feature talented young fighters, but also two title fights.
In the main fight of the evening, the unbeaten Victor Cakiqi (12-0, 9 knockouts) wants to set a milestone. The 26-year-old Berlin native will face Justin Schmager (5-1-1, 3 knockouts) for the German welterweight championship. Both fighters have already faced each other in the amateur division – now comes the eagerly awaited rematch on the big stage. For Cakiqi, who recently caused a stir in Berlin and Frankfurt, it is the biggest challenge of his young career to date. With his explosive style, fast jab and good footwork, the Kosovar-born fighter has won the hearts of fans in no time at all. Promoter Arlind Kuc: “Victor is not just a talent – he is a crowd-puller. Now he has the chance to reward himself with a title.”
Heavily populated undercard
The undercard also promises top entertainment. Leipzig’s Jan Meiser (9-0), who recently celebrated two early victories in a row, will fight in the co-main event. In Potsdam, he wants to recommend himself for higher tasks with another convincing performance. Also in the ring: 115-pound heavyweight Felix Breitbart, who celebrated a spectacular knockout on his debut and now wants to pass his acid test in the professional game against the experienced Pole Daniel Bocianski (12-6). There will also be two spectacular junior fights involving Berlin, including the eagerly awaited debut of MMA talent Cem Gürsoy, who now wants to cause a sensation in the boxing ring.
The event starts at 6 pm, admission is from 5 pm. Tickets are available online. If you can’t be there live, you can follow the main card including the title fight from 8 pm on BILD+ in the livestream.
