Fides Sports Promotion is back with a vengeance! After a comprehensive restructuring and realignment, promoter Burim Sylejmani can announce the first signing in the newly formed team. The 29-year-old Albon Pervizaj (18-1, 13 knockouts) returns to the ring and has signed a multi-year contract with Fides. After a break of more than two and a half years, the hard-hitting heavyweight wants to return to the top.

Pervizaj, born in Hamburg, was once considered one of the biggest talents in the German heavyweight division and made his professional debut in 2017. He subsequently fought 19 fights in the premier class, 18 of which he won, before his career stalled. “I love boxing. I deliberately retired to make myself more financially independent and to take my career into my own hands,” explains Pervizaj. He now lives in Düsseldorf and is working intensively with his new coach Anil on his return to the ring. He continues to receive support from Ulli Wegner, who acts as his mentor and once looked after him with Sauerland.

“Playing at the top again”

Promoter Burim Sylejmani says: “We have completely reorganized ourselves and moved the headquarters of Fides Sports Promotion to Kosovo – especially in connection with the TV rights. In addition to the Kosovan broadcaster RTK, with whom we have an exclusive contract, DAZN will also continue to broadcast our events. Our aim is to reposition ourselves in the heavyweight segment. Agit Kabayel is currently showing what is possible if you stay disciplined and believe in yourself. I am convinced that Albon Pervizaj has the potential to play at the top again in Germany and Europe.”

A first event is already planned for the summer in northern Germany, where Pervizaj is set to make his debut for Fides and make an impressive return. Alongside him, Petr Milas, currently number two in the Croatian heavyweight rankings, has also been signed – another strong sign of Fides Sports Promotion’s new direction.
