Jake Paul is once again attracting attention in the boxing scene. The boxing YouTube star, who was last in the ring with Anthony Joshua, has launched a new global platform for women’s boxing. At the same time, the promoter “signed a groundbreaking, multi-year agreement with ESPN that will broadcast MVPW events in the US through 2028,” according to a statement.

Premiere on April 5 with Harper & Co.

With the golden “W” directly in the MVP logo, MVPW wants to signal that women’s boxing is a central component of the company’s long-term global strategy. The aim is to promote women’s boxing just as much as men’s boxing. The MVPW platform will celebrate its premiere on April 5 with the boxing event “MVPW-01” in London. Caroline Dubois (12-0-1, 5 knockouts) will face Terri Harper (16-2-2, 6 knockouts) in a WBC/WBO lightweight unification fight. Other top female boxers such as Ellie Scotney and Chantelle Cameron will also step into the ring at the event. Sky Sports will broadcast the event live in the UK, while in the USA it will be streamed via the ESPN app.

“Since our inception, MVP has strategically focused on establishing an umbrella brand as the global home of women’s boxing,” explained Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul, co-founders of Most Valuable Promotions (MVP). And emphasized: “With the best female fighters in the world, who inspire boxing fans and open up new target groups for women’s sport. We are ushering in a new era.” The partnership with ESPN is a historic milestone for the launch of MVPW, the creators announced.

Platform for more than 40 boxers

The MVP and MVPW rosters currently include over 40 female athletes. These include world champions and top stars such as Amanda Serrano, Tiara Brown and Alycia Baumgardner. Three events have already been scheduled for the opening of the new platform. After “MVPW-01” (April 5), “MVPW-02” will follow on April 17 in the “Infosys Theater” of Madison Square Garden in New York (USA), broadcast by ESPN. In the headliner, Undisputed Champion Alycia Baumgardner (17-1, 7 knockouts) will face South Korean Bo Mi Re Shin (19-3-3, 10 knockouts). “MVPW-03” will be held on May 30 in El Paso (USA). There, WBA lightweight world champion Stephanie Han (12-0, 3 knockouts) will face women’s boxing icon Holly Holm (34-3-3, 9 knockouts) in a rematch.
