Agit Kabayel continues to work on his international career: Germany’s heavyweight hopeful has committed himself to the stable of promoter Frank Warren, as BOXSPORT has exclusively learned.

Just a few weeks ago, Agit Kabayel signed a contract with the English agency “Gold Star Promotions and Events”. The London-based company is run by Spencer Brown and also manages former champions Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, top talent Moses Itauma and ring legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. Now Kabayel has bagged his next deal in England. “Yes, I have signed a contract with Queensberry Promotions,” Germany’s heavyweight hopeful told BOXSPORT. “It’s not a long-term deal, but from fight to fight.”
Best contacts in the boxing mecca of Saudi Arabia
Queensberry is managed by promoter legend Frank Warren and is one of the absolute “heavyweights” among the international players. The London-based stable organizes the fights of superstar Tyson Fury and works closely with Saudi boxing impresario Turki Al-Sheikh and his “Riyadh Season”. IBF champion Daniel Dubois, former world champion Joseph Parker and Kabayel’s opponent Zhilei Zhang are also under contract with Queensberry.
“My manager Spencer Brown arranged the deal and said it was the right way to go. I met with George Warren, the son of Queensberry boss Frank Warren, a few times and talked to him about the contract situation and the future,” Kabayel told BOXSPORT. The undefeated German “Liver King” (25-0, 17 knockouts) is currently preparing for his duel with Zhilei Zhang on February 22 in Riyadh. It is also about the interim heavyweight world championship according to the World Boxing Council (WBC) version. The winner will be the official challenger to the WBC champion, who is currently Oleksandr Usyk.
“My goal: to become Germany’s next champion”
“In any case, my goal remains to become Germany’s next heavyweight champion,” emphasized Kabayel, who competed for the Magdeburg-based SES Boxing stable for many years. Most recently, the 32-year-old from Bochum acted as a free agent and successfully fought twice in the new boxing Mecca of Saudi Arabia. His brilliant knockout victories propelled him to the top of the world heavyweight rankings.
For Agit Kabayel, the deal with Queensberry appears to be the next logical step towards a major international boxing career. But the collaboration could also be worth its weight in gold for the London promotion, as Frank Warren has secured a potential next world championship candidate in Kabayel.
