Quote of the week: Tyson Fury

“Of course. 100 percent. Show me the money, Umar! I may not have an IBA PRO belt, but I’m available – I’m young, free, single and ready for new challenges!”

Tyson Fury when asked if he would consider a return to face Anthony Joshua for the IBA Pro heavyweight title. The “Gypsy King”, officially retired since losing his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk, was invited to an IBA (International Boxing Association) press conference in Istanbul.

The IBA, led by Russian Umar Kremlev, presented its new plans for the so-called “Golden Era” there. This is intended to support fighters at all levels – amateurs, professionals and bare-knuckle fighters. However, Fury has since announced that he wants to fight Usyk for a third time in 2026.
