Berlin is feeling the sizzle ahead of Friday’s AGON fight night at Uber Eats Music Hall! At today’s media appointment on Uber Platz in front of the event location, the main fighters faced each other face to face for the first time. In intense staredowns, they looked their opponents deep in the eye – with the unmistakable message: no one will back down on Friday night at the Uber Eats Music Hall.
Before the athletes step in front of the cameras one last time tomorrow at the official weigh-in, they gave a foretaste today of the excitement and rivalry that awaits boxing fans on Friday. The fight card is a real exclamation mark: In addition to the two Berlin local heroes Hamsat Shadalov and Paul Wall, who are in important title fights in front of a home crowd and need vociferous local support, four highly talented Cubans will also step into the ring.
First and foremost the Olympic figureheads Arlen Lopez, double Olympic champion, and Lazaro Alvarez, three-time amateur world champion and three-time Olympic bronze medalist. Both are bringing top international level to Berlin and want to impressively show why they are among the biggest names in Cuban boxing. “Everything is ready for our big fight night here in Berlin!
