Stefan Raab returned to the limelight on Saturday evening with a spectacular boxing event and made for an unforgettable evening in Düsseldorf. In sporting terms, however, boxing queen Regina Halmich came out on top in the end.

After a nine-year absence, former TV Total presenter Stefan Raab celebrated his comeback in the PSD Bank Dome, where he once again faced multiple world champion Regina Halmich. The fight not only generated enormous interest in the run-up to the event, but also a completely sold-out hall with over 13,000 spectators.
Even before the fight, fans were treated to a nostalgic journey through time. Highlights from Raab’s TV career were shown on huge screens, while companions such as Joey Kelly and Campino from Die Toten Hosen shared their thanks and memories of Raab. Above all, the humorous moments from Raab’s time on TV Total and his musical escapades made the audience reminisce.
When Raab finally entered the arena, the atmosphere boiled over. In an elaborate show, accompanied by musical interludes from rappers Sido and Ski Aggu, the now graying entertainer entered the ring. Prior to this, Helge Schneider had already fueled the anticipation with his cult hit “Katzeklo”.
Once in the ring, however, it quickly became apparent that Regina Halmich had lost none of her skills. Although Stefan Raab looked fit and motivated, the Karlsruhe-based fighter dominated the action. Halmich controlled the fight with precise punches and clever combinations and deserved to win on points after six rounds. Raab, who put up a brave fight, had to acknowledge that he was once again defeated by the experienced boxer.
Raab returns to the TV stage
The highlight of the evening, however, was Raab’s announcement that he will be back on TV regularly in the future. His new show will start next week on RTL+, and further projects are being planned. The audience not only celebrated the sporting spectacle, but also the return of one of the most influential personalities in the German TV landscape. With this event, Raab proved once again that he still knows how to thrill the audience.
