The excitement about Agit Kabayel’s next opponent is growing! French Olympic champion Tony Yoka has publicly shared a video in which he signs a fight contract for January 10, 2026 in Oberhausen. However, it remains to be seen whether he will actually be in the ring.

German WBC interim world champion Agit Kabayel (26-0, 18 knockouts) returns to the ring at the Rudolf Weber Arena at the beginning of January. The event, organized by Queensberry Promotions, will be the first major boxing highlight of the new year in Germany. Since the announcement, there has been much speculation as to who Kabayel will be fighting – now Yoka’s signing of a contract adds fresh impetus to the debate.

Yoka, the 2016 Olympic champion, recently re-signed with Queensberry – the same promotion that manages Kabayel – after three defeats. His latest video shows him signing a fight contract for Oberhausen.

However, caution is advised: In the boxing world, it is common for promoters to send contracts to several potential opponents in order to keep their options open. Yoka’s signature is therefore not yet a final commitment. In addition to Yoka, there are other big names in circulation: Filip Hrgovic, Daniel Dubois or even Deontay Wilder are considered possible opponents.
