Tyson Fury is once again causing a stir in the boxing world: the “Gypsy King” has hinted at a comeback via his social media channels. In a video from the gym, Fury appeared with his trainer SugarHill Steward and said: “You know what’s coming.” Although the Brit practically confirmed his return himself, according to his promoter Queensberry Promotions, there are currently no talks about a new engagement. Since his unanimous decision defeat to Usyk in December – his second in a row – there has been no communication, Queensberry told the boxing portal BoxingScene.

Fury initially announced his retirement after the defeat, as he had done several times before in his career. But his most recent posts speak a different language: in another clip, he addressed Usyk directly – and not exactly diplomatically: “I beat his ass twice and the world knows the truth. Next time we’ll box in front of 100,000 people in the UK.”

However, the current focus is on Usyk vs. Dubois II on July 19 at Wembley Stadium. But interest in a possible third Fury-Usyk fight is also high on the boxing scene – although nothing has been officially planned yet. Given Fury’s past of retirements, promises to return and media games, it remains to be seen how serious he really is this time.
