Former world champion Tyson Fury returns after a 16-month break. On April 11, the “Gypsy King” will face Arslanbek Makhmudov in London.

It’s official: Former two-time heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury will meet Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on April 11. The event will take place in cooperation with the “Riyadh Season” and will be broadcast live on Netflix. For the self-proclaimed “Gypsy King”, the fight marks his comeback after 16 months away from the ring.
Fury (34-2-1, 24 knockouts) recently suffered two consecutive defeats to reigning heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk. As a result, the former WBC champion announced his retirement last year, but reversed this decision and is now once again grabbing the headlines in the premier class.
On the opposite side is the 36-year-old Makhmudov (21-2, 19 knockouts), who has recently got back on track despite two early defeats in three fights. The Russian first lost to Agit Kabayel in round four in Saudi Arabia, before a T.K.O. defeat in the eighth round against Guido Vianello followed eight months later. However, victories over Ricardo Brown and David Allen catapulted the hard-hitting Makhmudov back into the limelight – and now into a mega-fight against Fury.
The 62,000-capacity London stadium, home to Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, has been the scene of big boxing nights in recent years. Among others, Anthony Joshua and Usyk faced each other there, and the British rivals Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn two consecutive duels. Fury himself also stopped Derek Chisora in the tenth round at the Spurs Stadium in 2022.
