Witness against Parlak in Cologne

On January 11, 2025, the German Boxing Series returns to Cologne with an exciting main event: former world champion Tyron Zeuge will face the unbeaten Serhat Parlak.

The German Boxing Series wants to revitalize German boxing and is focusing on high-quality matchups and thrilling duels. With the XPOST in Cologne as the venue for the second event and the main fight between Tyron Zeuge (28-2-1, 16 knockouts) and Serhat Parlak (6-0, 3 knockouts), the GBS is once again organizing an evening that should captivate boxing fans.

Tyron Zeuge, former WBA super middleweight world champion, is one of the last big names in German boxing. With 123 victories in 140 amateur fights and a world title in the professional ranks, Zeuge has had an impressive career. After three successful title defenses, he lost his belt to Rocky Fielding in 2018 and took a three-year break following the withdrawal of his then promoter Sauerland Events.

After his return in 2023, Zeuge fought several build-up fights, including a high-profile fight against Zach Parker in Birmingham, which was narrowly lost on points despite a strong performance and a knockdown in round two. For Zeuge, the fight against Parlak is now the next step on his way back to the top: “I’m ready to prove myself and fight for titles again in 2025.”

Challenger with big ambitions

Serhat Parlak, the reigning German super middleweight champion, is a serious opponent despite his limited professional experience. With over 100 amateur fights and several national titles to his name, the 29-year-old already has an impressive career behind him. Parlak sees the fight against Zeuge as an opportunity to make a statement: “I’m ready. It may seem early, but I’ve boxed against world-class people in sparring and I’m sure I can hold my own.”

The fight promises to be exciting, as both boxers have a lot to lose – and even more to gain. For Zeuge, it is all about defending his status as a top boxer and avoiding another setback. Parlak, on the other hand, wants to continue his unbeaten streak and establish his name on the German boxing scene. “It will be an action-packed fight in which we will both give everything,” predicted Parlak. Zeuge added: “I will be well prepared and show that I am still one of the elite.”
