On December 6, the Lambert Arena in Göppingen will host a major world championship fight in which Sarah Scheurich will fight for the IBF light heavyweight world title. As officially confirmed by the International Boxing Federation (IBF), the 30-year-old from Stuttgart has been named as the mandatory challenger. Her opponent is the reigning world champion Lani Daniels. The New Zealander is an experienced fighter who recently attracted international attention with her performance against US superstar Claressa Shields.

The event is organized by Ruhe Boxing Promotion, in cooperation with Firat Arslan and Rainer Gottwald. “This is amazing! We’ve done it – Sarah Scheurich’s IBF world championship fight is taking place on German soil!” says the official announcement from the promoter.

Sarah Scheurich, who has already celebrated numerous successes at amateur level and is considered one of the strongest German boxers in terms of technique, is highly motivated.
“This is my moment. I will give everything to bring the belt to Germany,” said the German.
